Biography
Stephanie is a trial lawyer who has participated in or handled more than 20 trials and arbitrations. She focuses her practice on her creative arguments, knowledge of procedural rules, and ensuring that no one in the courtroom knows the facts of the case better than she does. While her practice focuses on commercial and construction litigation, she is often called upon to step into complex or unexpected disputes that fall outside her traditional practice categories.
As a result, her experience includes matters involving real estate boundary and easement disputes, title disputes, fiduciary issues, will contests, personal injury lawsuits, election contests, non-competition and non-solicitation covenants, wiretapping claims, landlord-tenant disputes, trademark disputes, and defending employers and property owners against claims arising under the FLSA, ADA, and FHA. She maintains an active appellate practice and has represented clients in commercial and construction litigation, real estate boundary and easement disputes, title disputes, fiduciary issues, will contests, personal injury lawsuits, election contests, non-competition and non-solicitation covenants, wiretapping claims, landlord-tenant disputes, trademark disputes, and matters defending employers and property owners against claims arising under the FLSA, ADA, and FHA. Stephanie also assists select clients with real estate financing and other business transactions, bringing a litigator’s perspective to deal structure and risk allocation.
Clients value Stephanie’s direct and practical approach to litigation. Never one to shy away from providing an honest assessment, she focuses on giving clear advice about the strengths and risks of a case and on strategy rather than unnecessary conflict.
Stephanie joined The Bays Firm in 2018 after graduating from South Texas College of Law. Although licensed and practicing in Texas, Stephanie currently works remotely due to her husband’s professional assignment. She travels to Texas regularly to attend depositions, hearings, and trials, allowing her to continue serving Texas clients with minimal interruption.
